Arabia Kirnu is a collection of ceramic interior objects that explores expressive handmade glazings and minimalist, yet functional forms. The collection name “Kirnu” refers to the Finnish name for giant’s kettle (hiidenkirnu), a geological feature common in the Nordic bedrock shaped by the unrelenting forces of the last ice age. Kirnu collections inspiration dives deep into Arabias roots with a bold take on materiality and manufacturing techniques, sourcing the inspiration from the heritage of Arabia Pro Arte, vernacular object tradition of the north and the reality and myth of Finnish nature.
